Children and Youth
Children:
Sunday School (classes for Kindergarten-5th grades, Sunday mornings from 9:15-10:15 a.m.)
Awana (Wednesdays, 6:00 - 7:30 p.m., meets during the school year) *Awana stands for 'Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed' derived from 2 Timothy 2:15. This club is a global, nonprofit ministry committed to the belief that the greatest impact for Christ starts with kids who know, love and serve Him. The goal of our Awana club is to reach boys and girls with the Gospel of Christ and train them to serve Him.
Vacation Bible School - VBS (yearly in June, for students ages preschool - 6th grade)
Youth:
Sunday School (classes for Junior High and High School, Sunday mornings from 9:15-10:15 a.m.)
Youth Group (2nd and 4th Sundays of the month, 4:00 - 6:00 p.m., meets during the school year with activities during the summer; Youth Group is for students ages 12-18, or 6th - 12th grades)
*For both the children and youth, the teaching of God’s Word is the focal point!
Counseling & Discipleship
Counseling (pre-marital, marriage and other) is offered at no cost to our members, and there are opportunities for men and women to be discipled personally or in a small group setting by mature saints in the church. At NLBC, we put emphasis on nouthetic counseling. The word noutheteo as a Greek verb is used in the New Testament primarily by the apostle Paul, and translated as “admonish, correct or instruct."
